Job Purpose

This includes assisting in the preparation of security reports concerning personnel and WFP assets. A key aspect is organizing and delivering security training to staff, partners, and security personnel, as well as conducting regular security briefings. The role requires coordinating and overseeing the functionality of guard posts and verifying the proper operation of surveillance systems and access controls at WFP premises and warehouses. Field mission support is crucial, involving tracking missions, participating in evaluations, and providing recommendations. Additionally, the position entails managing security-related tasks assigned by superiors, ensuring compliance with residential and office security management standards, and maintaining security databases. This includes preparing contingency plans, conducting residence evaluations, and reporting findings to relevant authorities. The role also involves facilitating communication on security matters through regular meetings and emergency briefings, and ensuring all security directives are followed before staff undertake field missions.
Work Experience
The role requires six years of progressive and relevant professional experience in the security field. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse individuals, and the capacity to perform accurately under pressure. Proficiency in standard computer applications, electronic security databases, and alarm/surveillance systems is also necessary. A willingness to undergo training and certification for carrying a defense weapon, as per local laws, is required.
