Job Purpose
The International Consultant, CSTI, Engineer will provide essential engineering and project management support for WFP's infrastructure and building projects in Abeche, Chad. This role involves ensuring compliance with WFP policies, standards, and construction manual procedures, from design and contract management to implementation and maintenance. The engineer will contribute to technical feasibility analyses, prepare detailed designs and cost estimations, and oversee construction works, ensuring quality and adherence to project specifications. This position is crucial for enhancing WFP facilities' suitability, safety, and operational efficiency, directly supporting the organization's humanitarian mission in the region.

Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 1 year of relevant civil engineering experience with increasing responsibilities. Essential skills include good communication and leadership, knowledge/experience in engineering design, detailed understanding of construction contract formats and management obligations, and familiarity with public procurement and international construction management procedures.
