Job Purpose
The Cooperating Partner Management role is crucial for strengthening WFP's governance, compliance, and risk management in Honduras. The incumbent will lead the comprehensive management of NGO partnerships, ensuring adherence to WFP's Global Assurance Framework. This involves developing and implementing Standard Operating Procedures for partner management, coordinating capacity-strengthening activities, and conducting performance evaluations. The role requires guiding partners to meet selection processes and budget plans, ensuring alignment with WFP guidelines and sustainable management. Additionally, the job holder will manage fund analysis for Field Level Agreements (FLAs), monitor and record data in WFP corporate systems, and foster effective collaboration with internal and external counterparts to mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking an individual to lead comprehensive NGO partnership management. This role involves overseeing the entire process, from review and registration to due diligence, ensuring all procedures are completed in a timely manner. A key responsibility is developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for NGO partnership management, standardizing templates, formats, reports, and cost allocations to align with corporate guidelines. The position also entails coordinating capacity-strengthening activities for partner NGOs and conducting performance evaluations, spot checks, micro-evaluations, and audits, followed by developing and implementing improvement plans. The job holder will serve as the country office's focal point for regional and global NGO Partnerships teams, providing guidance on processes and guidelines. They will also guide implementing partners in meeting selection processes and budget plans, ensuring sustainable partnerships aligned with WFP standards. Furthermore, the role involves developing monthly requirement plans and fund analyses for Food and Livelihood Assistance (FLA) to ensure fund availability, cost-efficiency, and tracking of FLA consumption. Accurate monitoring and recording of data, documents, and financial transactions in WFP corporate systems are crucial, as is coordinating with internal and external counterparts for effective collaboration and risk management. Guidance to unit staff and contributing to teamwork are also expected.
Work Experience
Requires at least 6 years of professional experience within the UNCS, public, or private sector.
