Job Purpose
The Logistics Assistant (G5) will support the implementation of well-defined logistics and supply chain processes to ensure the effective delivery of goods and services. This includes providing assistance in managing logistics operations, supporting timely ordering and delivery of commodities, and monitoring vendor performance. The role involves responding to technical queries, contributing to budget monitoring, and assisting in inventory and commodity accounting data quality. Additionally, the assistant will support operational planning, process documentation for customs clearance and invoice verification, and compile data for reports to aid decision-making. The position also entails participating in CBT retailer management, ensuring timely reconciliation and payments, and addressing retailer issues to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.

They will also support operational planning, process documentation for logistics operations like customs clearance, and compile data for reports to aid decision-making. Additionally, the role involves liaising with stakeholders, providing guidance to support staff, and participating in the assessment, onboarding, and performance monitoring of CBT retailers. This includes ensuring timely reconciliation and payments, verifying invoices, and addressing retailer issues to maintain compliance and operational efficiency. The position requires a secondary school education, five years of relevant experience, and proficiency in English and Arabic, with Spanish and local dialects being advantageous.
