Job Purpose
The Programme Associate (Learning & Knowledge Management) G6 will provide crucial administrative, operational, and technical support to the Research, Analysis, and Monitoring (RAM) unit in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. This role is instrumental in implementing, coordinating, and monitoring learning and knowledge management activities. The incumbent will contribute to the unit's analytical work by facilitating the collection, organization, and dissemination of institutional knowledge, lessons learned, and best practices. Key responsibilities include developing and maintaining knowledge management systems, fostering a culture of learning, supporting staff capacity building in knowledge management, and serving as a focal point for knowledge sharing initiatives. The position also involves supporting the production and dissemination of analytical reports and coordinating knowledge-sharing events, ensuring effective knowledge transfer and utilization across the country office and with partners.
Responsibilities
The Programme Assistant (Learning & Knowledge Management) - VAM role is based in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and supports the implementation, coordination, and monitoring of Learning and Knowledge Management activities within the Research, Analysis, and Monitoring (RAM) unit. This position provides structured administrative, operational, and technical support to enhance analytical work, institutional knowledge capitalization, and knowledge sharing. Key responsibilities include coordinating knowledge management and sharing strategies, establishing systems for collecting and organizing knowledge and analytical products, and fostering an organizational learning culture by facilitating the sharing of analytical results and lessons learned. The role also involves supporting staff capacity building in knowledge management, acting as a focal point for knowledge management promotion, and coordinating the creation, updating, and dissemination of knowledge management content. Additionally, the assistant will support the drafting, revision, and dissemination of RAM unit reports and analytical products, ensure the tracking and sharing of analytical publications, and prepare performance monitoring reports. Coordination with RAM focal points in sub-offices, organizing knowledge-sharing events, and providing administrative support to the RAM unit are also crucial aspects of this role. The position requires a secondary school diploma, with a university degree in a related field being desirable, and at least six years of relevant experience in program support, information management, or research. Fluency in English and French is required.
Work Experience
Requires at least 6 years of progressive and relevant experience in program support, information management, knowledge management, research, or analysis. Three years of experience within the UN system, an international NGO, or a humanitarian organization is a significant asset.
