Responsibilities
The Monitoring & Evaluation Officer (NOB) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, plays a crucial role in supporting the World Food Programme's (WFP) mission. This position involves contributing to the development and implementation of robust Monitoring, Review, and Evaluation (M&E) plans that align with WFP's corporate standards. The officer will generate essential evidence on beneficiary impact to inform policy, strategy, and program design. Key responsibilities include coordinating monitoring activities, managing or assisting in the management of decentralized evaluations, and supporting thematic or mid-term reviews. The role also involves positioning WFP as a reliable partner for national governments in developing their M&E strategies and potentially contributing to country-level M&E strategy formulation and policy development. The officer will ensure M&E activities are evidence-based, accessible, and user-friendly, supporting informed decision-making. They will also track and address recommendations from M&E activities, build M&E capacity among WFP staff and partners through training, and manage junior staff. Specific duties include supporting the development of Theories of Change, ensuring M&E systems and tools are compliant with corporate standards, drafting monitoring reports, and supporting evaluations by sourcing and supervising external evaluators. Work Experience
Requires a minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience. This experience should include monitoring and evaluation activities, as well as proficiency in using various quantitative and qualitative analytical tools and methods.
