Responsibilities
The Business Support Assistant (HR) role at the World Food Programme (WFP) involves comprehensive administrative support for a wide range of HR processes and employee lifecycle milestones. Key responsibilities include managing onboarding and separation activities, ensuring smooth staff deployment logistics, and maintaining compliance with established procedures. The incumbent will act as a primary point of contact for general HR inquiries, coordinating with internal units on matters such as volunteer and internship programs, and managing short-term staff. This role also entails assisting in the organization of staff welfare activities and internal events to promote a positive work environment. Daily operational duties include accurate tracking of attendance, leave balances, and timesheets. Furthermore, the assistant will be responsible for compiling HR data for recruitment, contracts, training, and entitlements, generating reports for analysis and compliance, and maintaining the HR database and personnel archives with strict confidentiality. Work Experience
Requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in HR or Administration. Prior experience within the UN or international organizations is considered an advantage.
