Job Purpose
The Logistics Associate (Fleet) will be responsible for leading the onboarding of commercial transporters and coordinating the technical integration of their GPS tracking systems into WFP's Fleet Finder platform. This role is crucial for ensuring timely and accurate GPS data availability, maintaining data quality, and enforcing contract compliance. The associate will manage transporter integration dossiers, facilitate technical alignment sessions, and verify GPS functionality. They will also liaise with procurement and legal teams to address non-compliance issues, acting as the primary focal point for technical updates and escalations related to the Fleet Finder system in Sudan. The objective is to enhance end-to-end visibility and compliance across WFP's transport network.
Responsibilities
The Logistics Associate is responsible for coordinating the technical integration of commercial transporters into the Fleet Finder system, a truck-tracking solution. This involves collecting and validating technical requirements such as API specifications and authentication methods from transporters. A key duty is maintaining a comprehensive Transporter Integration Dossier, detailing technical information, contacts, and integration status for each transporter. The associate will facilitate and document technical alignment sessions between transporters and internal WFP teams, ensuring action items are tracked to completion. Responsibilities also include collecting and validating truck master lists for onboarding and mapping, verifying GPS functionality and data quality, and reconciling these lists with WFP operational records. Furthermore, the role requires liaising with Contracting, Procurement, and Legal departments to enforce GPS and Fleet Finder obligations, preparing evidence packs for non-compliance, and supporting contractual remedies. The associate will act as a focal point for API reception, integration timelines, and escalations, maintain an integration tracker, and provide regular progress and risk updates. Finally, they will produce monthly summaries on onboarding coverage and integration health, and support the development of Standard Operating Procedures for Fleet Finder processes.
Work Experience
Requires at least 6 years of experience in transport/logistics operations, fleet management, tracking/telematics, data management, or systems coordination.
