Job Purpose
The IT Operations SC G will support WFP Armenia's technology needs to ensure effective program delivery and alignment with the Corporate digital strategy. This role involves maintaining and monitoring IT systems and hardware, analyzing data to recommend IT solutions, and providing technical training to end-users. The IT Operations SC G will also assist in the implementation of new applications, draft IT documentation, and coordinate telecommunications equipment. Responsibilities include promoting IT security, managing IT equipment inventory, and providing timely technical assistance to resolve hardware, software, and network issues. The role also entails facilitating Help Desk operations and conducting IT awareness training, contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services and ensuring optimal technological support for WFP operations.
Responsibilities
The IT Operations Associate plays a crucial role in supporting the World Food Programme's (WFP) technology infrastructure to ensure effective program delivery and alignment with the corporate digital strategy. Key responsibilities include performing system and hardware maintenance, monitoring technology reliability, and analyzing data to recommend IT solutions. The associate will provide technical training to end-users, support the implementation of new applications, and draft essential documentation for IT services. They will also be involved in coordinating telecommunications systems, promoting IT security awareness, and maintaining an accurate inventory of IT equipment, including repairs and replacements. A significant part of the role involves offering timely technical assistance to end-users for hardware, software, and network issues, and efficiently managing the Help Desk system to ensure prompt resolution of tickets. Additionally, the associate will conduct training sessions on basic IT operations, software usage, and security awareness, contributing to the continuous improvement of IT services within the organization.
Work Experience
Requires at least 6 years of experience in analyzing service management results, developing service enhancement recommendations, participating in business process re-engineering, and contributing to country office procurement/budgeting processes.
