Job Purpose
The Building Blocks Technical Coordinator Consultant will serve as the primary focal point for all BB operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the system from both technical and user experience perspectives. This role involves overseeing operations across Country Offices, coordinating maintenance and configuration activities, and effectively communicating plans to stakeholders. The consultant will provide operational inputs for project scopes, support the deployment and scale-up of Building Blocks, and ensure timely delivery of key milestones. Additionally, they will offer coaching and training to country office staff, provide troubleshooting support, and identify long-term solutions for technical issues, contributing to the global expansion and effectiveness of WFP's blockchain initiatives.
Responsibilities
The Building Blocks Technical Coordinator Consultant will serve as the primary liaison for all Building Blocks (BB) operations, ensuring smooth system functionality and user experience across country offices. This role involves maintaining strong relationships with global and country-level teams, vendors, and functional units. The coordinator will oversee BB operations, manage maintenance budgeting and planning, and coordinate the implementation of configuration activities. They will communicate plans effectively to stakeholders, build consensus, and resolve conflicts. Responsibilities also include gathering feedback for feature enhancements, providing operational input for project scopes, and supporting the evaluation of BB's potential applications. The consultant will assist in the deployment, implementation, and scaling of BB, ensuring timely delivery of key milestones aligned with business needs and budget. Additionally, they will provide coaching and training to country office staff, offer troubleshooting support for BB and related applications, and identify long-term solutions for technical issues. The role requires a proactive approach to supporting SCOPE-BB integration and performing other relevant tasks as assigned, contributing to the efficient use of blockchain technology in humanitarian aid distribution and coordination.
Work Experience
Requires at least three years of relevant professional experience. Operational IT experience, product/project management experience, and intermediate finance/budget skills are considered assets.
