Organizational Context

Job Purpose
The Programme Associate (EPR) will provide specialized support and effective technical analysis to policy and programme activities that meet food assistance needs. This involves assisting in the development and implementation of diverse activities, ensuring alignment with programme policies and guidelines. The role requires providing project management support to specific programmes, preparing reports and data analyses on areas like food assistance needs and resource utilization, and ensuring accurate data recording. The Associate will also serve as a liaison with internal counterparts and external partners, including local partners, agencies, NGOs, and government institutions, to support effective collaboration and efficient food aid delivery. Furthermore, the position contributes to capacity building for WFP staff, partners, and national governments in specific technical areas, acting as a point of contact for operational queries and issues.

Work Experience
Requires at least six years of work experience with increasing responsibilities in the relevant field, including general administrative tasks. Experience working with technical teams (e.g., nutrition, VAM), contributing to program implementation, and observing or participating in policy discussions is also necessary. Proficiency in oral and written communication in a UN language and the local language (if different) is required.
