Job Purpose
The Programme Assistant (CFM) will perform specialized and standardized policy and program-related activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages. This role involves coordinating and executing monitoring activities within a designated area, compiling and analyzing data for reports to aid operational decision-making, and accurately recording information according to corporate standards. The assistant will collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including local organizations and government institutions, to ensure smooth project implementation and monitoring. Additionally, the role requires acting as a point of contact for operational queries, supporting emergency preparedness, and contributing to the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) by analyzing feedback, identifying protection risks, and facilitating referrals, ensuring beneficiary voices are heard and integrated into program improvements.
Responsibilities
The Programme Assistant (CFM) role at the World Food Programme (WFP) involves specialized and standardized processes to support the effective delivery of assistance packages. Key responsibilities include performing activities aligned with wider program policies, providing project management and general office support, and compiling data for analysis and reporting to aid operational decision-making. The role requires accurate data recording, collaboration with internal teams and external partners like local agencies and NGOs, and acting as a point of contact for operational queries. A significant aspect involves managing the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM), including supervising hotline operators, coordinating user support, and ensuring beneficiary feedback informs program improvements. This includes analyzing community feedback to identify protection risks, coordinating referrals with relevant focal points, and acting as a functional focal point for protection issues within the CFM, adhering to confidentiality and the "do no harm" principle. The assistant will also train staff on CFM channels, design and implement feedback mechanisms for diverse communities, and participate in inter-agency accountability initiatives. Guiding field office staff and partners on customer service and accountability strategies is also crucial for delivering high-quality services to beneficiaries.
