Job Purpose
The Human Resources Associate G6 will execute a comprehensive range of HR support services to ensure the effective implementation of WFP policies and procedures. This role contributes to the efficiency of HR services, aligning them with beneficiary needs and strategic objectives. The Associate will handle complex HR queries, monitor actions taken, and ensure consistency and effectiveness in service delivery. They will also train and mentor junior support staff, analyze evolving organizational needs, and recommend process improvements. Key responsibilities include drafting HR documents, managing confidential personnel files, coordinating HR databases, and supporting staff integration. The role requires proactive engagement in analyzing internal and external HR issues, ensuring accurate data management, and supporting HR activities within assigned areas to enhance overall HR service delivery and WFP's operational responsiveness.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Associate role involves executing a comprehensive range of HR support services to ensure the correct implementation of WFP policies and procedures. This position contributes to the efficiency of HR services, aligning them with beneficiary needs and strategic objectives. Key responsibilities include addressing complex HR-related inquiries, monitoring actions taken for consistent service delivery, and providing on-the-job training and development for less experienced support staff. The role requires identifying evolving organizational needs and recommending improvements to HR processes and procedures. Additionally, the associate will analyze internal and external issues to ensure beneficiaries are well-informed and HR activities align with WFP's broader goals. This includes reviewing and compiling data on recruitment, contractual terms, benefits, performance, and staffing levels to support analysis and information needs. The position also facilitates the onboarding of new staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and clear communication of employment terms. Drafting complex HR documents, managing confidential personnel files, and coordinating HR databases and archives are also crucial. The role supports staff deployment and related administrative measures to enhance HR service efficiency, enabling WFP's rapid response capabilities in crises.
Work Experience
Requires six or more years of progressive, responsible professional experience in the relevant field, including human resources. Experience with HR management service operating standards in diverse international humanitarian contexts is necessary. The role also involves training staff in the relevant competency area and assisting with ad-hoc information requests.
