Job Purpose
The Digital & Innovation Assistant (G5) will provide crucial administrative and coordination support to the Technology Unit (TEC) in WFP Haiti. This role is instrumental in facilitating the identification, mobilization, deployment, implementation, and ongoing support of digital and data management solutions across the country office and its field operations. The incumbent will bridge the gap between operational needs and technical execution by translating business requirements into clear user stories and supporting the end-to-end implementation of various IT solutions, including SCOPE, Farm2GO, and ODK Collect. This position is key to ensuring the successful adoption of new technologies, managing change effectively, and providing post-deployment support to optimize user experience and maintain service continuity.
Responsibilities
The Digital Solutions and Innovation Assistant will be responsible for supporting the implementation of various IT solutions within the Haiti Country Office. This includes coordinating work plans, timelines, and stakeholders for institutional IT solutions like SCOPE, Farm2GO, and others. The role involves translating operational needs into user stories and deployment requirements, and developing project documentation such as RAID logs and deployment plans. The assistant will also coordinate solution configuration and automation development, and manage the deployment activities, including pilot phases and go-live transitions, ensuring minimal disruption. Change management activities, such as stakeholder mapping and communication support, are also key. Furthermore, the role requires developing and delivering capacity-building materials and supporting user training sessions. Post-deployment, the assistant will provide hypercare support, coordinate incident resolution, and manage escalations. Finally, they will monitor usage and adoption metrics, gather user feedback, and identify areas for improvement to optimize user experience and system performance, providing regular progress updates to stakeholders.
Work Experience
The role requires at least five years of experience in IT/digital projects or related fields. This includes hands-on experience in end-to-end IT/digital project management, covering planning, execution, monitoring, and closure. Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile/Hybrid) and maintaining key project documents is also necessary. Additionally, experience in supporting solution deployment and organizational change management, including stakeholder engagement and user training coordination, is required.
