Job Purpose
The Programme Associate (Cross-Cutting) will provide essential support to WFP's programme activities in the Kyrgyz Republic, with a specific focus on mainstreaming Gender Equality, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and Accountability to Affected People (AAP). This role is crucial for ensuring these cross-cutting priorities are systematically integrated into all programme and project designs, implementation, monitoring, and reporting. The associate will offer technical guidance and coordination support on data processes and analytics, enabling inclusive, evidence-based planning and decision-making. Key responsibilities include supporting gender and protection analysis, collecting and analyzing sex, age, and disability-disaggregated data (SADDD), and strengthening community engagement and feedback mechanisms. The position also involves contributing to capacity building for staff and partners on these critical areas and coordinating with inter-agency working groups to promote coherence and alignment on DEI and AAP priorities at the country level.
Responsibilities
The role involves providing comprehensive technical and project management support to ensure the effective implementation of various activities and processes aligned with organizational policies. Key responsibilities include preparing detailed reports and data analyses on aspects like food assistance needs and resource utilization, highlighting trends and issues while maintaining high quality standards. Accurate and timely data recording for assistance programs and assessments is crucial, ensuring consistency for all stakeholders. Collaboration with internal counterparts and external partners, including local agencies, NGOs, and government institutions, is essential for accurate food security analyses and efficient food assistance delivery. The position also supports capacity building for staff and partners, acts as a point of contact for operational queries, and oversees the work of support staff. Furthermore, the role emphasizes mainstreaming Gender Equality, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and Accountability to Affected People (AAP) across all program activities. This includes providing technical guidance on these cross-cutting issues, supporting gender and protection analysis with disaggregated data, and strengthening community engagement and feedback mechanisms. Coordination with other UN agencies and relevant platforms is also a key aspect, alongside contributing to data processing and quality to ensure inclusive programming and accountability objectives.
Work Experience
Requires at least 6 years of progressively responsible experience in programme-related functions, development, government aid programs, general administrative work, or other related fields.
