Job Purpose
The Programme Policy Officer (Resilience and Climate Change Officer) will support WFP Iraq's efforts to implement climate-resilient interventions in targeted governorates. This involves providing technical expertise on ecosystem-based adaptation, enhancing national capacity to utilize climate information services for early action and adaptive planning, and strengthening anticipatory action systems. The role will also facilitate engagement with Development Finance Institutions to mobilize and manage financing for climate resilience investments, ensuring alignment with national priorities and UN Sustainable Coordination Framework objectives.
