Job Purpose

The Partnerships and Reporting Officer will support WFP Iraq's External Relations Unit by developing high-quality reports, briefs, and content to enhance the visibility of WFP's operations and bolster fundraising efforts through strategic donor engagement. This role is crucial for strengthening WFP's positioning with public, private, and external partners to secure policy support, resources, technical assistance, and innovative solutions. The incumbent will play a vital role in steering diverse tasks related to partnerships, reporting, and liaison, contributing significantly to the Country Office's objectives and the overall mission of saving and changing lives.

Responsibilities

The Partnerships and Reporting Officer will play a crucial role in enhancing the visibility of the World Food Programme's (WFP) operations in Iraq and supporting fundraising efforts. This position involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with government entities, private sector organizations, and other external partners to secure policy support, resources, and innovative solutions. Key responsibilities include implementing the WFP Partnerships Resource Strategy, managing a portfolio of partnerships, and actively identifying and pursuing funding opportunities from both new and traditional donors. The officer will be responsible for drafting high-quality concept notes and partner proposals, facilitating the negotiation and signing of agreements, and organizing donor field visits to showcase WFP's program activities. Additionally, the role requires meticulous reporting, ensuring timely and accurate project reports and strategic documents are prepared for donors and WFP Headquarters. This includes compiling information for the Annual Country Report, preparing briefings and updates for stakeholders, and maintaining comprehensive donor intelligence and funding forecasts. The position demands strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities in English and Arabic, and a proactive approach to building and nurturing partnerships to advance WFP's mission.

Work Experience

Requires 2-3 years of relevant experience in Partnerships, Reporting, or Programme roles, with a background and interest in international humanitarian development aid. Experience in drafting high-quality reports for various audiences and strong analytical skills are essential. Previous experience in fundraising, negotiations, public relations, relationship building, finance, and data analysis is also beneficial. Knowledge of WFP Iraq is an asset.
