Job Purpose
This role involves evaluating and selecting the most qualified proposal writers from submitted applications for the Women for Positive Actions (WOPA) organization. The selected candidate will be responsible for crafting technically sound proposals that meet the specific requirements of donors or funding calls. This position is crucial for securing grants and funding to support WOPA's mission. The assignment requires meticulous record entry and information input, ensuring accurate documentation of the selection and proposal development processes.
Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Program Officer, the Online Volunteer will support the organization/program team in selecting a quality proposal developer. Key duties include reviewing and selecting the best candidates for the proposal writer position from submitted applications. The volunteer will also evaluate and strengthen proposals developed by applicants, ensuring they are well-crafted and suitable for submission to WOPA for funding and grants. This involves assessing the quality of proposals against specific criteria and providing feedback for improvement.
Work Experience
Candidates should possess an in-depth understanding of the 'call for proposal' concept and have experience in quality proposal writing. While not strictly required, 5+ years of proposal writing experience is preferred. High attention to detail, intermediate proficiency with MS Office Suite, strong personal organization, and excellent writing and communication skills in English are essential.
