Job Purpose

The Online Volunteer will contribute to WOPA's marketing strategy by developing a quarterly newsletter. This role involves transforming provided information into engaging and visually appealing content that promotes the organization's monthly activities, features, and benefits. The volunteer will be responsible for creating professional and corporate marketing materials, ensuring content is easily digestible and aligns with WOPA's aesthetic. The assignment requires regular updates on progress and collaboration with the program team, playing an integral part in communicating the organization's impact and initiatives to a wider audience.

Responsibilities

The Online Volunteer will support the Women for Positive Actions program team by creating a quarterly newsletter. Key duties include designing professional and corporate marketing materials that highlight the organization's monthly activities, features, and benefits. The volunteer must ensure the newsletter's content is engaging, easily digestible, and adheres to a professional aesthetic aligned with WOPA's mission. Responsibilities also involve translating product features into compelling visual stories, demonstrating a strong understanding of typography and layout design, and applying print design best practices. The role requires providing initial concepts, incorporating feedback through revisions, and maintaining quality and efficiency throughout the 12-week assignment.

Work Experience

Candidates should possess advanced computer skills and proficiency in analytical software. Strong analytical and writing skills are essential. Experience in creating professional and corporate marketing materials, including graphic design using software like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, is highly desirable.

Skills

Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), experience creating professional marketing materials, strong understanding of typography and layout design, knowledge of print design best practices, advanced computer skills, analytical and writing skills, and the ability to translate features into visual stories are required. Fluency in English is essential.
