Reporting and Monitoring SBC Specialist

Job Purpose
This UNV assignment supports UNICEF South Sudan's Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) and Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) programme by strengthening knowledge management, reporting, monitoring, and evaluation systems. The role will focus on evidence generation, including assessments and research, and the consolidation, analysis, and dissemination of findings on SBC-AAP interventions. The objective is to ensure that evidence, lessons learned, and results are systematically documented and utilized for programme adaptation, donor reporting, management decisions, and strategic positioning of SBC as a programme accelerator, ultimately contributing to the protection and promotion of children's rights in South Sudan.
Responsibilities
The UNV SBC Specialist will support the design and implementation of SBC-AAP knowledge management systems to capture, organize, and disseminate evidence and lessons learned. Responsibilities include contributing to the quality assurance and timely submission of SBC-AAP and RCCE inputs for various reports (donor, situation, annual reviews, proposals, case studies). The role involves supporting the monitoring and evaluation of SBC-AAP activities by consolidating field data, partner reports, and community feedback, preparing analytical summaries for adaptive programming. The specialist will develop and maintain SBC-AAP dashboards, trackers, and knowledge repositories, and support the documentation of SBC-AAP contributions to cross-sectoral results. Additionally, the role provides technical support for assessments, surveys, and learning events, and builds the capacity of UNICEF staff, partners, and government counterparts on reporting, data quality, and monitoring approaches.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional experience is required in areas such as knowledge management, programme reporting, monitoring and evaluation, data analysis, results documentation, Social and Behavior Change, or Accountability to Affected Populations. Experience with UNICEF or UN system organizations is an asset. Proficiency in MS Office applications and database management is expected.
