Job Purpose
This assignment seeks passionate online volunteers to support Girls Education Mission International's fundraising campaign for girls' education and menstrual hygiene initiatives in Nigeria. The primary goal is to mobilize resources and increase awareness by leveraging digital platforms to connect with potential donors. Volunteers will enhance the organization's online presence by crafting clear, impactful messaging and promoting fundraising efforts across social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn. This role is crucial for generating increased support for programs aimed at improving access to quality education for vulnerable girls.
Responsibilities
Online Volunteers for Communications and Social Media will design and implement a digital campaign to promote the fundraising project. This involves developing a content strategy and creating compelling, emotive messages for platforms including LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, and Facebook. Volunteers will produce engaging storytelling content highlighting the challenges faced by girls in rural Nigeria and the impact of education and menstrual hygiene support. They will conduct digital outreach by sharing campaign materials within their networks and relevant online communities to boost visibility, engagement, and donor attraction. Additionally, volunteers will contribute to public awareness by educating on the importance of girls' education for long-term empowerment.
Work Experience
While no formal work experience is strictly required, candidates should demonstrate a strong passion for social impact, particularly in girls' education and community development. Experience or interest in fundraising, crowdfunding, or digital advocacy is highly desirable.
