Organizational Context
The Ibero-American Program for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation (PIFCSS) is an intergovernmental initiative promoting South-South and Triangular Cooperation in Ibero-America. It fosters horizontal cooperation among countries, sharing experiences and building consensus towards Sustainable Development Goals. PIFCSS aims to strengthen institutional capacities and establish networking mechanisms, with a focus on results and gender mainstreaming. The RizomaSur Virtual Cycles are a platform for exchange and learning within this framework.
Job Purpose
This assignment supports the RizomaSur Virtual Cycles, specifically Session 2 on "Multi-Actor Partnerships in South-South and Triangular Cooperation." The volunteer will create visual materials, such as illustrations or infographics, to effectively communicate the session's core concepts. These visuals will be used for promoting the session across social media, newsletters, and landing pages, as well as for supporting materials during the event. The goal is to translate the complex idea of collaboration between governments, academia, the private sector, and civil society into clear and engaging visual content for a broad audience.
Responsibilities
Develop one or more illustration/infographic pieces to support the dissemination of the session "Multi-Actor Partnerships in South-South and Triangular Cooperation" within the PIFCSS RizomaSur Virtual Cycles. The content, key messages, conceptual script, and visual identity guidelines will be provided by the PIFCSS Technical Unit (UT). The UT will also oversee the creative direction and provide feedback throughout the process. It is recommended that the volunteer attend the session as an observer. The volunteer will work remotely with diverse and intercultural teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
Work Experience
Required experience includes digital illustration and graphic design. Proficiency in design and illustration tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Procreate is necessary. Experience in designing infographics and the ability to translate abstract concepts into clear, attractive visual pieces are essential. Familiarity with institutional visual identity guidelines is also important.
