Economic Resilience Coordinator
Organizational Context
UNDP's Programme of Assistance to the Palestinian People (PAPP) aims to improve economic and social conditions by identifying needs and establishing projects. PAPP works with Palestinians for sustainable human development. This assignment is within the Economic Resilience Programme (MASARAT), which strengthens MSMEs through a holistic approach, focusing on firm, value chain, and system levels, alongside human capital development for job placement. MASARAT supports MSME recovery and resilience, unlocking market potential and addressing structural barriers.
Job Purpose
This UNV assignment supports UNDP/PAPP's Economic Resilience Programme (MASARAT), which strengthens Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) and builds human capital. The programme aims to enhance MSME recovery and resilience by improving access to tailored technical and financial services, diversifying markets, and strengthening value chain linkages. It also focuses on building the capacity of business associations, government institutions, and private sector support organizations to deliver inclusive services and foster dialogue for a more responsive and enabling business environment in the West Bank. The role contributes to fostering innovative and sustainable economic models for more resilient, competitive, and growth-oriented Palestinian MSMEs.
Responsibilities
The Economic Resilience Coordinator will provide hands-on support for programme implementation, partner capacity development, field monitoring, adaptive learning, and visibility. Key duties include maintaining regular field presence and engagement with partners, businesses, and stakeholders; monitoring activities, milestones, and risks; and providing coaching to partners on planning, tracking, documentation, and reporting. The Coordinator will assist partners in addressing challenges and escalating issues as needed. Responsibilities also involve conducting field monitoring and verification, reviewing partner reports, maintaining tracking tools, and documenting outcomes and lessons learned. The role includes identifying opportunities for synergy across different programme areas, facilitating learning exercises, and preparing reports and presentations. Additionally, the Coordinator will support programme coordination, identify communication opportunities, and contribute to UNDP's visibility efforts.
Work Experience
Requires at least 3 years of professional experience in implementing and monitoring employment, MSME development, or livelihoods programmes. Experience with international NGOs is an asset. Practical experience in areas such as business development services, value chain development, market access, business enabling environment, employment and skills development, or institutional capacity development is needed. Understanding of the Palestinian private sector and MSME environment is beneficial. Experience in field monitoring, results tracking, and data collection is required.

Proficiency in MS Office applications and database management is also required.
