Job Purpose
The online volunteer will support ACT Alliance by generating written content to clearly and consistently communicate the organization's key messages. This role involves creating content for both external audiences on LinkedIn and internal communication with member forums. The volunteer will contribute to enhancing ACT Alliance's visibility and internal engagement by producing compelling narratives that align with the organization's mission and objectives. This position is crucial for disseminating information effectively and supporting the organization's advocacy and development work.
Responsibilities
The selected online volunteer will be responsible for writing and editing written content for ACT Alliance's new LinkedIn page and internal communications. Key duties include drafting texts for publications, newsletters, and press releases according to organizational guidelines and a monthly calendar. The volunteer will collaborate with the communications consultant, providing key messages and input for content development aligned with organizational goals. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and editing content generated by the team, ensuring stylistic consistency, correct grammar, and coherence in the organization's communication tone.
Work Experience
Required experience includes excellent Spanish writing and grammar skills, with the ability to adapt tone and style for different audiences and content types (social media, newsletters, internal communications). Candidates should be skilled at synthesizing complex information into clear messages, possess basic editing and proofreading knowledge, and have research capabilities. Time management and remote teamwork skills are essential. Intermediate to advanced Spanish proficiency is required, and English proficiency is a plus. Interest in development, humanitarian advocacy, or faith-based organizations is desirable.
