This initiative seeks to increase the visibility of the communication team's work and promote the Online Volunteering service within the country. By engaging a broader network of volunteers, UNV SYC intends to raise public awareness, foster community engagement, and expand the reach of the UNV programme in Seychelles.
Job Purpose
This role supports the UNV office in Seychelles through digital outreach and communication activities. The primary goal is to boost the visibility of the communication team's efforts and to grow the uptake of the Online Volunteering service at the country level. By leveraging a wider volunteer network, the position contributes to raising public awareness, strengthening community engagement, and expanding the overall reach of the UNV programme in Seychelles. The assignment focuses on social media presence and digital engagement.
Responsibilities
Support digital outreach activities for the UNV office in Seychelles. This includes promoting corporate and local content across various digital and social media platforms (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube). Develop creative content such as posts, articles, graphics, and short videos to engage local audiences and communicate key messages. Actively engage with local organizations and communities to build partnerships and extend campaign reach. Assist in organizing and participating in local online events, including virtual discussions and webinars. Monitor and report on engagement metrics and feedback from outreach initiatives. Online Volunteers will receive guidance, training, and visual assets, reporting to the Regional Communication Assistant.
Work Experience
Required experience includes strong communication and writing skills, creativity, and a solid understanding of social media platforms. Candidates should possess active accounts on at least three major social media platforms. Desirable experience includes content creation, graphic design, video editing, or project management.
