Job Purpose
This assignment supports ICVA's role as Champion for the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation & Abuse and Sexual Harassment (PSEAH) within the Inter-agency Standing Committee (IASC) for 2026-2027. The primary goal is to simplify, promote, and support the uptake of existing PSEAH tools and guidance. The volunteer will address issues with the IASC website's presentation of PSEAH documents, including user-friendliness, inconsistent tagging, and missing languages. The role also involves ensuring alignment with the Safeguarding Resource Support Hub (RSH) to create improved, unified online libraries for the frontline humanitarian community.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will conduct a structured review of IASC materials related to PSEAH to enhance user experience on the IASC website. Key duties include assessing resources against agreed criteria, focusing on naming conventions and tagging. The volunteer will identify resources needing removal or updates on the RSH site and assist with uploading relevant documentation. A crucial part of the role involves providing a concise summary of observations and recommendations at the assignment's conclusion. This task is analytical and organizational, not requiring content rewriting or technical web development.
Work Experience
Experience in humanitarian action, safeguarding, accountability, or PSEA is required. Candidates should also have experience with content review, knowledge management, communications, or information management. Strong analytical and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to consistently apply decision criteria. Familiarity with spreadsheets or basic tracking tools, Google Analytics, and SharePoint is beneficial.
