To support its "Tremplin du Savoir Professionnel" internship program, UNFPA Burundi seeks to recruit a mentor.
Job Purpose
The UNFPA Burundi office is seeking a mentor to support interns within its "Tremplin du Savoir Professionnel" program. This role is crucial for providing comprehensive career guidance and professional development. The mentor will help interns integrate into the UN system and gain practical experience, particularly in Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). The objective is to equip interns with the necessary skills and knowledge to contribute effectively to UNFPA's mission and the implementation of the 9th Cooperation Programme, accelerating progress towards UNFPA's transformative results. This mentorship will foster a supportive learning environment, enhancing the interns' professional journey.
Responsibilities
The mentor will guide interns in understanding UNFPA Burundi's work, with a specific focus on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). Key duties include assisting in establishing an integrated database for program monitoring, supporting data analysis for reproductive health indicators (maternal health, family planning, adolescent health, GBV), and contributing to the design or update of M&E tools. The mentor will also help interns participate in program implementation activities, including workshops and meetings, and support training and capacity-building initiatives. Additionally, the role involves assisting with activity reporting, tracking project performance indicators and recommendations, and contributing to the organization of field surveys, evaluations, and studies. Support in other intervention areas may also be required.
Work Experience
While specific years of experience are not detailed, the role requires a Master's level education in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, or related fields. Candidates should demonstrate good interpersonal skills, flexibility, and adaptability.
