Organizational Context
UNV promotes peace and development worldwide through volunteerism, integrating qualified volunteers into development programs. Active in approximately 130 countries, UNV has field offices in over 80 nations. The UN General Assembly declared 2026 the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development, with Bolivia as a promoter. This initiative aims to strengthen Bolivia's volunteer legislation and socialize the proposed Volunteer Law.
Job Purpose
This assignment supports the socialization of Bolivia's proposed Volunteer Law, aligning with the International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development 2026. The role involves creating clear and engaging communication materials to explain volunteerism's concepts, its contribution to sustainable development, associated rights and responsibilities, and key aspects of the proposed legislation. The goal is to inform volunteer organizations, individuals, public and private institutions, civil society, youth, and the general public, fostering understanding and participation in strengthening the legal framework for volunteerism in Bolivia.
Responsibilities
Conceptualize, script, and produce short videos and other audiovisual content to simply explain volunteerism, its importance, and the key elements of the proposed Volunteer Law. Create infographics, carousels, graphic designs, and visual resources to illustrate concepts, content, and central elements related to volunteerism and the proposed legislation. Assist in researching and adapting content, developing key messages, copy, scripts, campaign concepts, and digital communication materials to facilitate the socialization of the proposed Volunteer Law among diverse audiences. Ensure conceptual, visual, and communicational coherence across all produced materials.
Work Experience
Experience or knowledge in digital content creation and/or communication is required. The ability to transform technical information into clear, attractive, and understandable content is essential. Experience in development communication, citizen participation, volunteerism, rights, public policies, or social issues is desirable.
Skills
Excellent writing and synthesis skills. Ability to work collaboratively and incorporate feedback. Proficiency in digital tools for content creation and editing. Strong communication and visualization skills are essential for creating engaging materials.
