Job Purpose

This role supports UNICEF Guinea-Bissau by analyzing data on violence against children and designing a dissemination brochure. The objective is to transform complex data into accessible evidence for advocacy, communication, and decision-making. The assignment aims to generate clear insights into the prevalence, patterns, and causes of violence against children, presenting findings in a visually engaging format. The ultimate goal is to raise awareness, inform stakeholders, and contribute to efforts to prevent and respond to violence, thereby promoting and protecting children's rights.

Responsibilities

The Online Volunteer will analyze data on violence against children and develop a user-friendly brochure. Key duties include reviewing and consolidating datasets, proposing research questions and analytical frameworks, developing a data analysis plan, and conducting quantitative/qualitative analysis to identify trends and findings. The volunteer will create data visualizations, draft a concise analytical report, and design a visually appealing brochure to communicate results to policymakers and the public. The role involves periodic virtual meetings for progress updates and feedback, contributing to evidence-based advocacy and programming.

Work Experience

Candidates must possess advanced computer skills and proficiency in analytical software (e.g., SPSS, SATA). Strong analytical and writing skills are essential, along with the ability to present data concisely. Experience in data analysis and report writing is expected.
