Organizational Context
The World Food Programme (WFP) is the leading humanitarian organization dedicated to saving lives and changing lives by delivering food assistance in emergencies and working with communities to improve nutrition and build resilience. In Lebanon, WFP supports approximately one million Syrian refugees with regular food assistance and also assists Lebanon's National Poverty Targeting Programme for the poorest Lebanese. The WFP Lebanon Country Office implements diverse humanitarian and resilience programmes, with the Partnerships Unit playing a crucial role in securing and managing donor resources.
Job Purpose
The UN Volunteer will join the Partnerships Unit at the World Food Programme (WFP) Lebanon Country Office in Beirut. This role is integral to supporting the unit's responsibilities in donor relations, resource mobilization, grant management, and external engagement. The assignment will focus on assisting with donor reporting, developing proposals and briefing materials, managing partnership information, and conducting data analysis. The UN Volunteer's contribution will be vital in strengthening WFP Lebanon's engagement with donors and partners, enhancing resource mobilization efforts, and ultimately supporting the achievement of programme outcomes in food security, resilience building, and social protection.
Responsibilities
The UN Volunteer will support the Partnerships Unit by collating information from various units for proposals, reports, and briefings. Responsibilities include responding to routine information requests, facilitating timely information sharing, and processing administrative and financial tasks, such as maintaining Salesforce records and reporting calendars. The role involves managing partnerships records and online repositories to ensure data accuracy and accessibility. The UN Volunteer will also draft, review, and proofread documents, collect, analyze, and visualize data to support reporting and decision-making, and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate coordination and service delivery.
Work Experience
Requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience in areas such as donor relations, partnerships, resource mobilization, grants management, or project coordination. Experience in drafting donor reports and proposals, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are essential. Experience with data visualization, CRM tools, or working with UN agencies/NGOs is desirable.
