Organizational Context

Job Purpose
The UN Volunteer will support the UNODC Bolivia office in its communication efforts, specifically by enhancing the visibility and impact of its projects and programs. This role is essential for consolidating UNODC's image and demonstrating its value as a strategic partner to the Bolivian State, especially during a period of government transition. The volunteer will contribute to ensuring that the organization's achievements and impacts are communicated clearly and effectively to donors, institutions, and the public, aligning with the institutional communication strategy and the objectives of the Country Programme 2023-2027.
Responsibilities
The UN Volunteer will manage the full lifecycle of staff and consultant contracts, including preparation, processing, and finalization, ensuring compliance with UNODC policies. This involves reviewing documentation, tracking contract cycles, managing renewals, and coordinating separation processes. The volunteer will also be responsible for maintaining and updating physical and digital records, databases, and information systems, including managing leave and attendance modules. Additionally, they will prepare administrative documents, support staff reporting, and coordinate onboarding processes for new personnel, ensuring they receive necessary institutional information and complete mandatory training. The role includes providing timely guidance to teams on HR procedures and documentation.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of general work experience in human resources, specifically in recruitment, selection, and contracting. At least 2 years of experience is required in updating and maintaining databases, internal personnel management systems, or registration platforms.
Skills
Key competencies include professionalism, integrity, teamwork, respect for diversity, and a commitment to continuous learning. Essential skills involve planning, organization, and effective communication. Expertise in human resources is also required.
