Job Purpose
This role supports the UNDP Knowledge Project's Future Skills Academy (FSA) by managing learner progress, enrollments, and providing daily support. The incumbent will maintain databases, prepare reports, and assist with data tracking to monitor programme performance. Key contributions include supporting engagement activities like workshops and events, coordinating with partners, and providing operational support for FSA initiatives. The overall goal is to contribute to building inclusive knowledge societies in the Arab States region and beyond, empowering youth through enhanced skills development and knowledge utilization.
Responsibilities
The Skills Development Assistant will support the Future Skills Academy (FSA) activities under the UNDP Knowledge Project. Key responsibilities include managing learner progress, coordinating enrollments, and providing daily multilingual learner support via various communication channels. The role involves maintaining and updating learner and partner records, databases, and documentation, as well as preparing progress reports and datasets for presentations. Additionally, the assistant will support basic data tracking and analysis for programme performance monitoring. Engagement activities such as coordinating sessions, workshops, and supporting learner initiatives like alumni activities and skills talks are crucial. The role also contributes to organizing high-visibility events like the Knowledge Summit and supports partner engagement through coordination, follow-up, and documentation, including collaboration with academic partners.
Work Experience
Requires 1 month of experience, with 1 year of relevant experience being desirable. Experience working with international organizations is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is necessary. Familiarity with UN or development sector processes is an advantage. Basic design and communication skills using tools like Canva or Adobe Suite are an asset.
