Job Purpose
The UNV Project & Finance Assistant will provide crucial support to the UN Women Morocco Country Office in implementing its mandate, particularly within the "Resilience & Food Security" project. The role involves assisting in the planning, execution, and monitoring of project activities, with a focus on financial management, administrative support, and logistical arrangements for events. The incumbent will contribute to ensuring efficient project delivery, accurate financial reporting, and the effective coordination of project-related activities, ultimately supporting the empowerment of rural women and enhancing their resilience to environmental and economic challenges.
Responsibilities
The UNV Project & Finance Assistant will support the Operations Manager in planning, implementing, and monitoring project activities. This includes providing administrative support for work plans, budgets, and proposals. The role involves managing project finances through budget monitoring, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting, as well as creating projects, budget revisions, and managing financial closures in the Quantum system. Additionally, the assistant will handle invoice and requisition creation, good receipt registration, and all logistical, administrative, and financial arrangements for meetings and events. The position also encourages engagement with the UNV programme mandate, promoting volunteerism and contributing to UNV publications.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of professional work experience is required, preferably at the national or international level, in human rights development programmes and financial management processes. Proficiency in MS Office applications, database management, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Skills
Key competencies include professionalism, integrity, teamwork, respect for diversity, commitment to continuous learning, planning and organizing, and effective communication. The role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and adaptability. Experience in administration, project management, programme development, logistics, and procurement is desirable. Fluency in French and English is required.
