Job Purpose
The Digital Communication Expert will provide professional support to UNICEF's communication specialist in delivering effective digital outreach. The primary objective is to raise awareness, understanding, support, and respect for children's and women's rights through strategic digital engagement. The incumbent will manage social media content, monitor performance, and contribute to designing and implementing digital communication campaigns and online media plans targeting diverse stakeholders, ultimately strengthening UNICEF's online presence and advocacy goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a digital communication strategy aligned with UNICEF's priorities. Monitor media trends and advise on digital responses. Analyze social media presence and produce performance reports. Lead web content development for advocacy campaigns. Manage digital media platforms and enhance online community engagement, ensuring content aligns with UNICEF's voice and messaging. Coordinate social media communication and build relationships with partners and influencers. Collaborate with various UNICEF teams to create compelling content for campaigns and initiatives. Provide technical support and training to colleagues on digital communication, especially during emergencies. Contribute to developing digital communication guidelines and standards.
Work Experience
A minimum of ten years of professional experience in digital communication and social media management is required. This includes strong skills in content creation, digital analytics, and campaign management. Advanced digital storytelling abilities with excellent writing and editing skills in French and English are essential. Knowledge of international development, humanitarian issues, and children's rights, along with experience in developing countries or emergency contexts, is also necessary.
