Job Purpose
This online volunteer assignment aims to support FAO's "One Health" and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) social media campaign in Egypt. The primary goal is to leverage the power of social media to disseminate FAO-approved information and raise public awareness about the critical links between human health, animal health, plant health, and the environment. By mobilizing 1,000 online volunteers, the campaign seeks to amplify key messages within diverse online communities, contributing to a broader understanding and engagement with these vital issues. Volunteers will play a crucial role in extending the reach of accurate information, fostering a greater appreciation for the "One Health" approach.
Responsibilities
Online volunteers will actively participate in FAO's "One Health" and Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) social media campaign. Key responsibilities include sharing FAO-approved posts, messages, and visuals across personal social media accounts and networks to raise awareness. Volunteers will disseminate simple, reliable information highlighting the connections between people, animals, food, agriculture, and the environment. Adherence to campaign guidelines, including the use of approved hashtags, links, and messages, is essential. The role also involves encouraging online communities to learn more about "One Health" and promote positive actions. Volunteers will be provided with all necessary campaign materials and instructions, eliminating the need to create scientific content.
Work Experience
Required experience includes regular use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, or X. Volunteers should enjoy sharing useful information and be able to follow simple instructions and accurately use provided content. Previous volunteering experience is welcome but not mandatory. A professional background in health or agriculture is not required.
