The organization seeks to strengthen its institutional capacity and expand its training offerings by leveraging digital tools, with a focus on community development and the promotion of human rights and gender equality.
Job Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to support the Mexican Association of Psychology and Community Development in strengthening its institutional capabilities and expanding its training offerings through digital tools. The volunteer will develop a proposal for a Moodle-based virtual training platform. This platform is intended to enhance access to professional development, training, and updates. It will facilitate the organization and management of courses, content, materials, activities, evaluations, and participant tracking, ultimately broadening the reach of training initiatives to a wider geographical audience.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will collaborate with the Academic Administrator to analyze the Association's training needs and develop a proposal for a Moodle-based virtual training platform. The proposal should detail the structure, functionalities, resources, and technical/operational characteristics required for an accessible, functional, and adaptable virtual training space. Recommendations for Moodle tools and features to manage courses, content, activities, evaluations, and participant tracking are expected. The final deliverable is a structured proposal for the Moodle platform, including suggested structure, key functionalities, required resources, and implementation recommendations.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 year of experience in using, administering, configuring, or developing Moodle virtual classrooms, or equivalent demonstrable project experience, is required. Experience in organizing Moodle courses, modules, sections, and content is necessary. Proficiency in configuring or using Moodle learning activities, quizzes, assessments, assignments, forums, and other interactive resources is also essential. Knowledge of Moodle user management, roles, permissions, and groups is required.
Skills
Key skills include experience with Moodle platform administration, configuration, and development. Proficiency in organizing and presenting educational content in virtual learning environments, and evaluating virtual classroom functionality, navigation, and usability. Knowledge of multimedia resources and tools for virtual learning experiences is important. Basic knowledge of security and privacy in educational platforms is required. The ability to analyze training needs and translate them into practical proposals for virtual learning platforms is crucial.
