Job Purpose
The UN Volunteer Reports Associate will support UNICEF Mali in producing high-quality, results-oriented donor reports. This involves ensuring the accuracy, coherence, and timely submission of reports that effectively communicate the impact of UNICEF's programs for children and communities. The role contributes to UNICEF's accountability to donors, resource mobilization efforts, and overall mission of promoting child rights and well-being in Mali. The associate will work collaboratively with various program sections to gather and verify information, ensuring reports align with proposals, budgets, and donor requirements.
Responsibilities
The Reports Associate will be responsible for ensuring the quality assurance of donor reports by facilitating reviews, proofreading, and editing in English and French, and translating documents as needed. This includes verifying reported figures and achievements against source documents and ensuring consistency with proposals and budgets. The role involves maintaining reporting schedules, tracking deadlines, and coordinating inputs from multiple program teams to ensure timely submissions. Additionally, the associate will manage an electronic filing system for donor-related documentation, archive key documents, and support the collection and organization of evidence, success stories, and case studies to generate compelling results narratives for reporting and fundraising.
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of professional experience in donor reporting, planning and monitoring, partnerships, communication, journalism, or auditing is required. Experience working within the UN or other international development organizations is desirable. Fluency in both French and English is essential. Demonstrated skills in reporting, data verification, and performing detail-oriented work are necessary.
