Job Purpose
This assignment supports the UNDP Crisis Bureau's efforts to advance gender equality in crisis response and recovery. The primary purpose is to develop two distinct PowerPoint presentations: one for the Gender and Recovery Toolkit Training and another for the Annual Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Report. These presentations will enhance knowledge sharing, capacity building, and advocacy on gender-responsive crisis recovery and the WPS agenda. The outputs will contribute to SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions) and SDG 5 (Gender Equality) by promoting a deeper understanding of gender dimensions in conflict and recovery. The materials will benefit the Crisis Bureau, country offices, and partner organizations.
Responsibilities
Develop a training presentation based on the comprehensive Gender and Recovery Toolkit, translating its key concepts into an accessible and engaging format for UNDP practitioners and stakeholders. This presentation should effectively summarize the toolkit's core components. Additionally, create a PowerPoint presentation for the Annual Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Report, distilling its key messages, data, case studies, and policy recommendations into a clear, visual, and impactful format suitable for high-level advocacy, stakeholder engagement, and internal discussions. Both presentations require strong visual design and clear structuring of information to support capacity building and knowledge dissemination.
Work Experience
Required experience includes strong skills in PowerPoint and Canva design for creating professional and engaging training presentations with effective visuals. Experience in instructional design and understanding learning principles for content clarity and retention is also required. Familiarity with gender equality and the Women, Peace, and Security agenda, along with data visualization and infographic skills, is preferred.
Skills
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Canva for presentation design. Skills in instructional design and applying learning principles. Ability to visualize complex information through charts, graphs, and infographics. Familiarity with gender equality and the Women, Peace, and Security agenda is preferred. Fluent English language skills are required.
