Job Purpose
This role is part of the "Social Champions" initiative, a collaboration between UNV and UNICEF Ecuador, aimed at recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to support UNICEF's fundraising efforts. The Social Champions Telemarketer will play a crucial part in securing recurring donations via telemarketing. The primary objective is to engage potential donors through empathetic and effective communication, conveying the purpose and impact of UNICEF's work for children. By leveraging communication skills, the volunteer will contribute to the financial sustainability of UNICEF's programs, ensuring continuous support from individuals committed to making a positive difference in the lives of children in Ecuador.
Responsibilities
The Social Champions Telemarketer will be responsible for fundraising for UNICEF Ecuador through telemarketing. This involves making calls to raise awareness about the situation of children globally and in Ecuador, with the goal of acquiring new recurring donations via automatic bank debit or credit card payments, adhering to UNICEF's guidelines and procedures. The volunteer will manage assigned campaigns, meet defined targets and indicators, and ensure high-quality calls to provide a positive donor experience. Accurate recording of donor information is essential for donation management and follow-up. Additional tasks may include supporting new team members and performing other related telemarketing activities. Adherence to UNICEF's institutional norms, policies, and values, including ethical conduct and data security, is mandatory.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 month of required experience is noted. Two years of relevant experience is desired, particularly in telemarketing, sales, customer service, or related fields. Experience in handling objections, teamwork, and a results-oriented approach are beneficial. Familiarity with UNICEF's mission and vision is a plus.
