Job Purpose
This role supports UNICEF Guinea-Bissau by creating communication and visibility materials, including reports, videos, and animations. The primary goal is to showcase the organization's work and raise awareness about the situation of children and UNICEF's response in the country. The volunteer's contributions will directly support UNICEF's efforts towards achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages. The assignment involves graphic design and visualization tasks to effectively communicate key messages.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will produce approximately 20 designs for UNICEF Guinea-Bissau's reports, communication, and visibility materials, potentially including videos and animations for events like COP29. Key tasks involve creating draft designs tailored to specific audiences (general public, donors, partners, stakeholders) while adhering to UNICEF branding guidelines. The volunteer will develop designs based on UNICEF requirements, discuss drafts with the focal point and communications team, and implement revisions based on feedback. All developed materials must align with corporate design guidelines, which will be provided along with relevant background documents. The volunteer will work under the guidance of the UNICEF Guinea-Bissau Communication Officer and in close collaboration with the Communication Associate.
Work Experience
Professional experience in graphic design and video editing/production is required. Previous experience in designing document layouts and in-depth knowledge of graphic design applications are essential. Good verbal and written communication skills are also necessary.
