Job Purpose
This role involves creating communication and visibility materials, specifically videos, for UNICEF Guinea-Bissau. The objective is to showcase the organization's work, raise awareness about the situation of children in the country, and highlight UNICEF's response efforts. The produced content will contribute to achieving Sustainable Development Goal 3, which focuses on ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all ages. The assignment requires multimedia content creation to support UNICEF's communication strategy and outreach.
Responsibilities
The online volunteer will produce approximately 20 videos over 12 weeks, with one video released weekly, covering various UNICEF Guinea-Bissau campaigns and visibility actions. Key tasks include developing draft designs and video products tailored to different audiences (public, donors, partners) while adhering to UNICEF branding guidelines. The volunteer will create draft videos based on UNICEF requirements, discuss content with the focal point and communications team, and implement revisions based on feedback. All developed content must align with agreed requirements and corporate design guidelines, which will be provided along with background documents. The volunteer will work under the guidance of the UNICEF Guinea-Bissau Communication Officer and in close collaboration with the Communication Associate.
Work Experience
Professional experience in video editing and production is required. Candidates should also possess good verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience in creating communication materials is essential for this assignment.
