Job Purpose
This role supports the Ministry of Youth and Sports in updating the National Youth Policy. The objective is to enhance youth engagement and ensure the policy is inclusive, equitable, and addresses the specific needs of diverse youth populations, including those in rural/urban areas, with disabilities, marginalized groups, and the diaspora. The contribution is crucial for revitalizing the policy, recognizing youth as key actors in national development, social cohesion, innovation, and sustainable progress.
Responsibilities
Online Volunteers will support the Ministry of Youth and Sports in updating the National Youth Policy. Key duties include actively disseminating awareness messages on social media platforms, assisting in consultations with stakeholders and youth to gather input for the policy update, and engaging various youth groups, including the diaspora, vulnerable, disabled, and marginalized youth. Volunteers will also encourage community discussions and citizen mobilization around the policy, contribute to surveys for evaluating the current policy, and support the monitoring, reporting, and impact assessment of the communication campaign for the policy update.
Work Experience
Candidates must possess a deep understanding of human rights and youth engagement at all levels. Experience in community engagement and writing is required. Creativity, rigor, and the ability to produce high-quality, structured, and visually appealing documents are essential. The capacity to work autonomously and proactively in a multicultural environment is also necessary.
