Organizational Context

Job Purpose
The Human Resources Assistant will provide support to the operational and compliance functions of human resources within the UNOPS HR unit. This role contributes to the implementation and adherence of HR procedures, ensuring effective support for the daily activities of the unit. The incumbent will assist in HR operational tasks, ensuring compliance with UNOPS policies and procedures, and contributing to the smooth functioning of the HR department. This position is crucial for maintaining efficient HR operations and supporting staff within the UNOPS Tunisia office.
Responsibilities
The Human Resources Assistant will provide general support to HR activities, contributing to the preparation and review of HR documents to ensure administrative compliance. This includes assisting in the compilation of necessary documentation for various HR processes. The role involves supporting the HR team in managing personnel administration, recruitment processes, HR compliance, and operational support. Key duties include assisting with the preparation of HR-related documents, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures, and maintaining HR records. The assistant will also contribute to updating HR data in relevant systems and supporting administrative tasks, ensuring efficient and compliant HR operations within the UNOPS framework.
Work Experience
Requires 1 month to 1 year of relevant professional experience in human resources, particularly in personnel administration, recruitment, HR compliance, and HR operations support. Proficiency in MS Office, database management, and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team and adapt to demanding environments is also required.
