Job Purpose
This UNV assignment supports UNICEF's Office of Innovation (OOI) Insights Team in Stockholm. The role focuses on enhancing data analytics and knowledge management to accelerate results for children. The specialist will contribute to ideating and scaling effective solutions by managing data, developing user-centered products, and improving knowledge systems. The objective is to provide practical tools, strategic planning support, and tailored data analytics to country offices and partners, ultimately contributing to the achievement of child-related SDGs through innovative approaches and leveraging stakeholder expertise.
Responsibilities
The Data Analytics and Knowledge Management Specialist will build and maintain data infrastructure by managing innovation portfolio data, developing automated data pipelines for collection and cleaning, and supporting data harmonization. They will develop user-centered data products, including dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, and contribute to flagship knowledge products. The role involves responding to analytical needs, producing usage analytics, and coordinating the rollout of knowledge platforms. Additionally, the specialist will serve as a focal point for reporting inputs, explore new system designs for efficiency using human-centered design and AI, and build colleagues' capacity to use data and knowledge platforms through training and resources.
Work Experience
Requires at least three years of professional experience in data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, business intelligence, or impact assessment. Experience in knowledge management, visual design, and communications is a strong asset. Familiarity with the full data-to-product cycle, data pipeline development, data storytelling, and human-centered design for systems is also beneficial.
