Job Purpose
This assignment supports the UN Information Centre's UN Day 2026 campaign by contributing to outreach and public engagement activities. The volunteer will play a key role in developing essential communication materials and coordinating campaign initiatives to effectively promote the values and impact of the United Nations. The primary focus is on graphic design and visualization to create a compelling campaign identity and assets. The volunteer's contribution will be crucial in establishing the campaign's visual direction and preparing materials for its successful launch and implementation, ensuring a strong visual presence across UN Egypt's communication channels.
Responsibilities
The UN Volunteer will support the UN Day 2026 campaign under the guidance of the UNIC National Information Officer. Key responsibilities include developing the campaign's initial visual identity, encompassing logo concepts and branding elements. The volunteer will design the official campaign announcement package for publication across UN Egypt's communication channels and produce initial communication materials such as social media templates, digital banners, posters, and presentation templates. Additionally, they will create branding assets for participant outreach and stakeholder engagement before agency onboarding. The role also involves preparing editable design files and a basic visual identity guide for a smooth handover, and providing ad hoc graphic design support to the UN Day Task Force during the pre-implementation phase.
Work Experience
The role requires demonstrated experience in branding, visual identity development, and digital communications design. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) is essential, with knowledge of After Effects or Figma being an asset. A strong portfolio showcasing logo design, campaign branding, and digital communication materials is necessary. Experience designing for international organizations, NGOs, or development projects is desirable.
Skills
Key skills include advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), with After Effects or Figma knowledge being an asset.
