Job Purpose
This role supports the UNDP Uzbekistan Inclusive Growth Cluster by enhancing economic inclusion, entrepreneurship, and development financing. The Online Volunteer will conduct comprehensive research to identify and map potential national and international donors and funding partners. The objective is to gather crucial information on their funding priorities, geographic focus, application processes, and past support to similar initiatives. This data will be compiled into a user-friendly tool to assist UNDP staff and beneficiaries in strategic partnership development, ultimately contributing to sustainable growth and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in Uzbekistan.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Cluster Focal Point, the Online Volunteer will conduct in-depth donor research to support the Inclusive Growth Cluster in Uzbekistan. Key responsibilities include developing a donor research template for data collection and organization, creating a research plan, and identifying relevant research sources. The volunteer will research potential national and international donors aligned with the Cluster's projects and focus areas. Collected data will be systematically captured in the mapping tool, and detailed donor profiles will be compiled, including thematic focus, geographic priorities, and partnership modalities. This research aims to inform strategic engagement and resource mobilization efforts.
Work Experience
Previous experience in donor mapping, prospect research, market research, or development research is required. Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential. The ability to effectively organize and clearly summarize information is also necessary. Familiarity with Uzbekistan's context and the broader development sector is considered an advantage.
