UNFPA works to achieve universal access to sexual and reproductive health, realize reproductive rights, and reduce maternal mortality. In Benin, UNFPA supports studies on sexual and reproductive health education and the potential of girls, aiming to generate evidence and inform policy for empowerment and gender norm transformation.
Job Purpose
This role supports UNFPA Benin's efforts to disseminate and ensure optimal adoption of two key research reports. The assignment aims to enhance the visibility and national appropriation of the findings from studies on sexual and reproductive health education and the untapped potential of girls. The volunteer will be responsible for the editorial formatting and graphic design of these finalized reports, ensuring they are accessible and impactful for all stakeholders. This contribution is crucial for translating research into actionable insights and driving progress on gender equality and youth empowerment in Benin.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will be responsible for the graphic design and layout of two reports. This includes developing a distinct graphic charter for each publication, undertaking the full layout of both reports, and creating compelling data visualizations. Additionally, the volunteer will produce print-ready files and interactive digital PDF versions, complete with QR codes for each report. The role requires ensuring the final documents are professionally presented and effectively communicate the research findings to a broad audience, facilitating national understanding and adoption of the recommendations.
Work Experience
The role requires confirmed expertise in editorial design and layout, preferably using InDesign or equivalent software. Experience with United Nations publications is desirable. A strong understanding of CMYK color modes and print production constraints, including bleed and crop marks, is also necessary.
