Job Purpose
This role supports the "Strengthening the Socio-Economic Reintegration Route" project, specifically Component VII, which focuses on community processes to empower former combatants. The objective is to foster 11 social and community initiatives by reintegration groups in 2026, contributing to peacebuilding and the Integral Reintegration Program through the "Fomento" Strategy. This strategy, managed by the Agency for Reincorporation and Normalization (ARN), promotes community-focused projects in social, political, and economic areas. The Technical Productive Associate will provide personalized support for economic reintegration projects and financial follow-up for these 11 initiatives in the Catatumbo region, based in Cúcuta.
Responsibilities
The Technical Productive Associate will provide comprehensive support for the call, evaluation, selection, and monitoring of initiatives and projects, ensuring transparency and effectiveness according to ARN and UNDP parameters. This includes collaborating with PNUD and ARN professionals on project identification, formulation, and follow-up, ensuring alignment with strategic lines. The role involves verifying project documentation, technical consistency, budgets, and work plans. Responsibilities also include developing technical and pedagogical materials, participating in technical and operational committees, and providing advisory support on community infrastructure and productive projects to reintegration organizations. Additionally, the associate will identify and engage public and private allies, collect and analyze data for project performance monitoring, identify project strengthening needs, and upload deliverables to the PNUD tracking platform.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 month of required experience and 2 years of relevant experience is needed. Experience should be in one or a combination of the following areas: supporting community productive projects; formulating, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and following up on productive projects, rural development, socio-entrepreneurial strengthening, and technical assistance with entities like UNDP, UNODC, and FAO; or field work with rural communities, designing pedagogical methodologies with differential and gender approaches, information management, report writing, indicator management, GIS, and data analysis for decision-making.
