Job Purpose

The volunteer will conduct online computer classes for underprivileged children in Kerala, India, focusing on basic computer skills. This assignment aims to empower children by enhancing their digital literacy, contributing to their educational development and future learning opportunities. The role involves delivering engaging lessons, supporting children's learning journeys, and making a tangible impact on their lives through accessible online education. The volunteer will be instrumental in bridging the digital divide for these children.

Responsibilities

Conduct online computer classes in basic skills for underprivileged children in Kerala, India. Deliver lessons for 2 hours per week, with sessions lasting 1 hour each on two consecutive days. Sessions are scheduled between 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM IST. Utilize platforms such as Zoom or Google Meet for instruction. Receive orientation and access to the provided curriculum. Ensure classes are engaging and supportive for young learners. Contribute to the children's development of essential digital competencies and English language skills.

Work Experience

Some background in teaching is desirable but not strictly necessary. The primary requirement is proficiency in both English and Malayalam languages. Experience in online teaching or computer skills instruction would be beneficial but is not mandatory.
