Job Purpose
This role supports ERONet's resource mobilization efforts by developing competitive grant proposals to secure funding for programs benefiting vulnerable communities in Northern Uganda. The assignment focuses on translating project concepts into persuasive, donor-focused technical proposals that align with ERONet's mission and strategic objectives in areas like girls' education, women's protection, climate resilience, and sustainable livelihoods. The contribution will directly strengthen ERONet's capacity to attract funding, positioning the organization for long-term growth and contributing to Sustainable Development Goals.
Responsibilities
Online Volunteers will support the preparation of competitive grant proposals by reviewing donor guidelines and application requirements. They will translate project concepts into clear, persuasive, and donor-focused technical proposals, developing essential sections such as logical frameworks, problem statements, objectives, expected results, implementation approaches, sustainability plans, and monitoring and evaluation components. Volunteers will ensure proposals align with donor priorities and submission requirements, revising them based on feedback. Regular communication and participation in virtual meetings are expected. Each volunteer may contribute to multiple proposals based on their experience and availability.
Work Experience
Demonstrated experience in grant proposal writing for NGOs, international organizations, or development agencies is required. Familiarity with logical frameworks, theories of change, results-based management, and monitoring and evaluation is beneficial. Understanding donor requirements and the ability to synthesize technical information into compelling proposals are essential. Strong research, analytical, and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively remotely, are also necessary. Previous experience supporting nonprofit organizations is highly desirable.

Excellent technical writing and editing skills. Proficiency in developing logical frameworks, theories of change, and results-based management. Strong research, analytical, and organizational abilities. Effective communication and collaboration skills for remote teamwork. Understanding of donor requirements and the ability to synthesize complex information into persuasive proposals. Fluency in English is required.
